This is the route undertaken by Rigel srl over 40 years ago, mother company of a dynamic private group including Intec srl, company specialized in the logistical support and import/export of advanced technology equipment mainly destined to the Ministry of Defense and satellite industries, and Teknomec srl which represents international companies by promoting and selling their products within the italian territory.
Rigel Group’s journey has started in 1974 with the primary target to promote an industrial cooperation between Italy and Great Britain mainly in the naval & marine sector but then gradually extending its activity by opening new business units to operate in other sectors among which the Defense, Railway, Industrial and Security & Counter-Terror.
Today leading interlocutor in the offer of strategic consultancy and advanced technology products and systems, the company works as exclusive agent for Italy of many international companies, addressing its activities towards market niches generally lacking in national competition, and activating, wherever possible, important compensation agreements and industrial partnerships with other italian companies.
The future for Rigel represents a daily challenge through a constant analysis of all markets, relevant competitive scenarios and business opportunities, studying and offering customized solutions, Rigel Group dedicates its highly specialized assets with the aim to identify and develop the best innovative technologies and solutions customized on the specific market requirements.

Founded by the enthusiasm and the multiyear experience of its founders today Rigel Group avail itself of a team of 30 professionals including highly qualified engineers in the relevant areas of operation provided with strong management skills, technical background, sales and organizational attitudes.
These are distinguishing qualities making Rigel Group capable to pursue every kind of project and to fully express the commitment, professionalism and passion of whom made it leader in its field.
Present of the Company
The Group is managed by Ing. Luigi Orlandi, co-founder member, CEO and only shareholder, who held qualified assignments in the Italian Navy.
Naval Academy 1958 – 1961. Cadet Chief of the course in the Italian Navy.
Graduated with full marks and Honours at the faculty of Naval and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Genova.
Major General of the Naval Genius until the 1972, year when he left the Italian Navy.

The Co-Founders
Co-Founder Member and Honorary President is Sergio Corsini, Admiral S.M. R.O., ex high officer of the Italian Navy.
Class 1921 – Naval Academy 1939 – 1942
Deputy Officer of an atlantic Submarine in 1943 (Route Singapore – Bordeaux – circumnavigation of the Cape of Good Hope).
Prisoner of the Japanese in 1943 in Singapore and liberated by the Allied in september 1945.
On his return he covered several assignments firstly in the Italian Navy and then for the Group Olivetti before joining the Rigel Group via MIB.
In the United Kingdom has been invested and honoured with the “Order of the British Empire”.
Co- Founder member is Ing. Ottorino Beltrami who covered many prestigious assignements in IRI, Olivetti Spa, SIP, Assolombarda and Fondazione Cariplo. Assolombarda e presso la Fondazione Cariplo.
